The short answer

All-Source AutoGlass replaces windshields across Windsor, Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland and Johnstown, at your home, your work or our shop. Most windshields cost about $300 to $800 or more before insurance, depending on the vehicle and its cameras. We bill your insurer directly, recalibrate the front camera when your car needs it, and can often do it the same day when the glass is available.

What does a new windshield cost?

Without insurance, most windshields we replace cost about $300 to $800 or more. The price moves with the vehicle, the glass and what has to happen after it goes in. A car with a camera behind the glass usually needs a recalibration, which is about $150 to $300 or more on its own.

We quote every job for your vehicle, so the number you get is the number that applies. With comprehensive coverage, what you pay is set by your policy and deductible. The auto glass cost guide breaks the prices down, and the insurance claims page explains the claim.

How does a windshield replacement go?

  • Old glass out. We cut the old windshield free and trim the old urethane off the frame.
  • Frame cleaned. The new urethane has to bond to a clean surface, so the frame is cleaned before anything goes back in.
  • New glass set. The windshield goes into a fresh bead of urethane, lifted in with suction cups so it seats evenly.
  • Taped while it cures. Tape holds the glass while the urethane sets, and the front camera is recalibrated if your car has one.

Most windshields take about an hour and 15 minutes, and you can drive about 30 minutes after the new glass goes in.

Is the glass the same as the original?

Most windshields can be replaced with glass from the vehicle maker’s own supplier or with aftermarket glass made for the same opening. We price aftermarket glass from our own supplier system. For glass from the vehicle maker (OEM), we contact the dealer for the price and the lead time. We tell you which one we are quoting before we start.

Will my car need a camera recalibration afterward?

If your car has lane-keeping, automatic braking or adaptive cruise, its front camera usually looks through the windshield, and the manufacturer calls for a recalibration after the glass is replaced. We recalibrate it with professional ADAS equipment and hand you the recalibration certificate when it passes. We never skip a required recalibration. More on the ADAS camera recalibration page.

Questions people ask us

Is $500 a lot for a new windshield?

Not for most vehicles. Ours usually run about $300 to $800 or more before insurance, so $500 sits in the normal range. A windshield with a camera, a rain sensor or heated glass costs more, and a camera recalibration adds about $150 to $300 or more. Send us the year, make and model for an exact quote.

How long does a windshield replacement take?

About an hour and 15 minutes for most windshields, then about 30 minutes before you can drive. We can often do it the same day when the glass is available.

How soon can I drive after a new windshield?

About 30 minutes after the new windshield goes in. That gives the urethane time to set enough to hold the glass safely.

Will my insurance cover a new windshield?

If you carry comprehensive coverage, glass damage is usually claimed under it, and what you pay depends on your policy and deductible. We deal with the insurer for you, and in Colorado you choose the glass shop. See insurance claims.

Do you replace windshields on semis and RVs?

Yes. We replace glass on cars, trucks, SUVs, RVs, motorhomes, semi-trucks, fleet vehicles and heavy equipment. See semi-truck and fleet glass.
